I Love Language
I Love Language is a comprehensive Language Arts program. Many homeschool families have to buy a reading/phonics program, a grammar program, and a writing program. I Love Language is all together and based on research-based standards that have proven results.
When we began the research and development of a comprehensive language arts program, we reviewed dozens of vetted, research-based programs. Ultimately, we found the Virginia State standards and scope and sequence to be the strongest. Virginia has consistently produced some of the strongest outcomes in K–12 language arts and math for several decades…and they were one of just a few states that didn’t adopt Common Core in 2010. Building on top of a strong and tested foundation was extremely important to us. I Love Language covers essential skills for phonics and spelling, reading, grammar and writing, vocabulary, and speaking and listening. In other words, I Love Language is a one-stop shop for everything you’ll need relating to Language Arts.
I Master Math
I Master Math is based on the Virginia State Standards and is an original curriculum. It is in line with Saxon in that lessons spiral learning and break the lessons into smaller concepts that are learned through exploration and practice. What would be a fantastic fit here is that it is mastery-based so that the students can work at a faster pace as desired.
We do not have hard-copy textbooks, however we do have printed packets available for student materials. The lessons for 6-8 MicroSchool students will have access to recorded videos. The Micro-School Students also will have graded lessons, using a mastery-based practice set at the end of each lesson.
