Open Character Core Student Companion or Celebration Guides
The Micro School Character Core courses for the 2024–25 Micro School year are Science, History, Literature & Health. These courses, together with the newly added “Micro Masters” start each Monday on a 2-week rotation. See the calendar to better understand the rotation (go to page 3) .
- Each unit has its own “Student Companion” document with the unit schedule, recommendations, materials, and resources needed for each unit. The Student Companion will walk you through the student’s daily assignments or "record assignments" that will build up to a unit project.
- Each unit also has its own “Celebration Guide” document with suggested activities to celebrate the end of a unit. These activities can be done independently with your family or in a Micro School group. Some of these activities can even be done virtually if you are unable to meet in person.
Follow these steps to access the “Student Companion” and “Celebration Guide” documents
1. Login to your Micro School account
2. Click on "My students" in the left-hand menu > Then click on your student's profile box
3. Make sure you are in the "Course Progress" tab > Click on the Course name > Then open the Unit > Then open a lesson in that unit
4. Scroll down to the "For This Lesson" section > Locate the “Unit Resources” section > Then click on “Student Companion” or “Celebration Guide”
